Independent India | But Still a Slave

  • HISTORY
It all started with a military lead by Mangal Pandey in 1857. Subsequently the Indian Royalty jumped into the struggle, making it a national movement. Rani Lakshmi Bai, Tatya Tope, Tipu Sultan etc *JOINED THE STRUGGLE*. Then started the full fledged battle against the British government. This period saw the most horrendous violations of human rights by British Government against Indian prisoners. Next the freedom movement attained more momentum with extremists at one end like ChandraShekar Azaad, Bhagat Singh, RajGuru and moderates like Gandhi and Nehru. Finally it was in August 15, 1947 we got the results of the century long struggle, Total Independence or "Poorna Swaraj".

  • ARE WE STILL INDEPENDENT?
The definition of Independence is different for different people now a days, for a poor person getting two meals a day is independence, a rich person throwing his money on unnecessary luxuries of life is freedom, for women being safe is the streets of the country is freedom, for a politician is freedom. Its true that we are an independent country in the world, we are an emerging economy, but do you really think that we are really independent...?
With all the events happening in and around in the present day scenario, with all the crimes, with all the hatred, with all the corruption, with all the old and outdated customs, do you really think we are still independent...?

  • SOCIAL EVILS
Though we got "Poorna Swaraj" in 1947, but we didn't get complete independence. We still today are a slave to the rotten old customs, which took the form of social evils present in the society. We are slave to poverty, crime, riots and many more anti social activities practiced still today.

  •  FEMALE FOETICIDE
In India we are said to worship women as "Lakshmi" the goddess of Wealth. But in same India we kill these little goddesses in the mother's womb. Has it been a case of poor, illiterate people we could have focused on that particular sections; but even the middle and elite class f the society feels a girl child as burden, its totally ridiculous. Now who can help these high profile illiterates..? There is no area in which girl are behind boys, but its sad to see parents still prefers boys over the girl child.

  • DOWRY
Women, have always been exploited on the grounds of dowry. They have regularly been harassed mentally, physically and emotionally by the bride's family. It was supposed to be the custom of narrow minded, old fashioned people. But it is really shame to see the educated youth of today following this custom of yesteryear. How could a well educated, well settled youth ask his in laws to lend him money to survive...?

  • SEXUAL ASSAULT
This has become a trend in our country, sexual assaults, rapes and crimes against women has picked up like anything. The girls are treated as objects of pleasure and brutally raped and murdered by some beasts. And its literally annoying to see some of the politicians making a joke out of such incidents by their insensible comments and talks. How do these criminals forget that even they are born out of same mother, their victim may be a daughter, a sister, a wife of somebody like them and shamelessly commit such heinous acts..? And who on this earth gives them right to destroy the life of a women. Even beasts don't like to be categorized along with these kind of people.

  • SUPERIORITY
It is yet another element of the society which badly tampers India's image. Here every body is everybody's boss. It is Indian version of "survival of the fittest". Ministers oppresses his staff, staff oppresses the in charge and supervisors and who in turn oppresses the common man. Everyone is hungry for power. Police show their own powers and a criminal show their own, and terrorist their own and finally it is the common man who is constantly grinned in the tussle. The lower sections of the society suffers severely due to this game of power. They literally are living like slaves even in the 21st century.

  • UNTOUCHABLITY
This is a social evilwhich is not only practised against the law of the country but even against the law of the nature, law of god. These people treated as untouchables are the ones who takes the responsibility of keeping the country clean who are the true patriots. People often forget that it is due to these so termed as "untouchables" that they are leading a clean and healthy life. Had these great servant of nations not been there, then there would have been filth and dirt all spread around in the housed and the entire world would have been untouchable by now.

  • POVERTY
This is a really old issue, which people today don't look at it as a problem but a part of Indian lifestyle. This section consists of a large part of Indian population including farmers, laborers, milkman etc. These people can't even afford the basic amenities of their life i.e, food, clothing and shelter. They are spread across the both rural and urban areas of India. These people don't have proper skill set, those who are skilled don't have opportunity and those who got the opportunity are looked down upon by the higher section of the society. The crime rate in India is very high among these people as they have nothing to loose, so they risk anything for survival.

  • ILLITERACY
It is root cause for many or almost all of the above mentioned evils in the country. These people are found in rural areas in majority. This shows the condition of rural India in the years after independence. With no proper schools and no proper knowledge these are bound to follow the lame superstitions presents in the society which has long been banned or eradicated over the years. These people form the majority of laborers in India, they easily get exploited and easily get carried away by any of the political and anti social forces. In this digital world one cannot afford to have such huge number of illiterate people in the country.

  • CORRUPTION
Corruption has its branches spread across all walks of life. There is corruption in government offices, prpivate firms, sports etc. leading to major scams. Therew is corruption in health care and education system which leads to poor health and high illiteracy rate of country. There is corruption in thoughts, beleifs of human ehich leads to decline of moral and spiritual aspects of life. There is corruption in every section that leads to the downfall of the country.

  • CASTEISM

Casteism might be a cause of decline for the country but it is an important tool for strengthening the stand of parties in India. It is a work oriented class division that was created by the ancient people but was converted to birth oriented class division and it still contuning in our country. A lots of Indian politics has revolved and will continure to do so around the casteism. As far as Casteism is concerned all the people, including the topmost leaders to beaurocrats, from bussinessman to middle class, from rich to poor every one can be said to be an illiterate.

  • COMMUNAL RIOTS
It is yet another tools which certain groups resorts to when they just want make their presence falt in a particular area. A communal riot is one of the worst thing that can happen in a country. It shows the level of unity, integrity, peace and level oif mutual cooperation among people of various religions. Communal riots is just a prposeless killing on one another just because of some third person spreading some baseless rumors out of any personal or politoical benefits.

  • ARE WE REALLY INDEPENDENT..?
So once again the same question "Are we really independent...?" Still we say "Mera Bharat Mahan". Now if you still feel proud to be an Indian then its the time to come forward and change the nation, change ourselves, destroy all the negativity and fill the country with positivity, take challenges, take the country to new heights, towards economic, social, moral, spiritual growth.

I am Proud to be an Indian, are you..?
I am ready to be the change, are you..?
Think.. Decide.. and Follow.

JAI HIND
VANDE MATARAM...
&
Happy Independence Day
