The MOSSAD way of dealing with Israel's enemies and what India can learn from it

If you are not aware, Mossad is the national intelligence agency of Israel. It is responsible for intelligence collection, covert operations, and counter-terrorism operations throughout the world. It is considered one of the most effective intelligence agency of the world and it is known for punishing the enemies of Israel no matter where they hide and no matter how strong they are.
When someone decides to mess up with Israel, he indirectly messes up with Mossad and Mossad is not known for its kindness or forgiveness. They attack and their attack always leaves behind a big impact.
In this article, we are going to have a look on some of the most important operations undertaken by Mossad and how India can get inspired from them to deal with Pakistan and to take revenge of the recent unfortunate terrorist attack that happened in Pulwama.

Year 1960 : Operation Garibaldi

Adolf Eichmann, a Nazi Lieutenant Colonel of the SS division who was directly responsible for the deportation of millions of innocent Jews to the extermination camps during WWII, was hiding under false papers in Argentina. Mossad tracked him down, abducted him and smuggled him to Israel. He was given a fair trial which was widely publicised and was found guilty and hanged till death.
Not only Eichmann, the Mossad ttracked down many Nazi war criminals that tried to hide under false papers. Most of them were executed.

MUST WATCH : The movie Operation Finale which is based on this operation

India's R&AW can carry out such operations to capture terrorist masterminds like Dawood Ibrahim, Masood Azhar etc.

Year 1972: Munich Olympics

11 Israeli Olympic team members were taken hostage and killed by Black September, a Palestinian terrorist group. Mossad carried out Operation Wrath of God and exterminated 9 out of the 11 responsible for that massacre, one-by-one over a period of 16 odd years. Each and every suspect was tracked down and was killed in secret operations all around Europe.
One of the most reproduced photos taken during the siege shows a kidnapper on the balcony attached to Munich Olympic village Building 31, where members of the Israeli Olympic team and delegation were quartered

India can also carry out such operations to destroy terrorist camps in POK.

Year 1976 : Opertaion Entebbe

A passenger plane full of Israelis was hijacked and landed in Entebbe, Uganda by a Palestinian Terrorist group. The hijackers demanded to free 40 Palestinian and affiliated militants imprisoned in Israel and 13 prisoners in four other countries in exchange for the hostages.
Mossad agents IDF Special Forces soldiers sneaked into Uganda wearing uniforms of the Uganda Army. One of them was made to look like the president of Uganda, Idi Amin.
The hijackers thought that Amin himself was coming with Ugandan soldiers.
They storm the airport, kill every hijacker and 45 Ugandan soldiers, grab the hostages, and fly out before the Amin regime knows what the hell is going on and they blew up 30 of Amin's jets. This was the last time a plane full of Israelis was hijacked.

MUST WATCH : The movie Raid on Entebbe which is based on this operation

Unlike what India did in 1999, Israel Defence Force acted on the intelligence provided by Mossad, attacked the very airport where hostages were kept and rescued them in less than 90 minutes at the cost of 3 hostages and one unit commander's life. If India would have carried out such operation during the IC814 hijack, Masood Azhar would have been dead by now.

P.S. There are countless numbers of operations conducted by Mossad to assassinate various Palestinian militants, HAMAS militants, gathering necessary intel etc. Covering all those operations is beyond the scope of this article.
