Why is it that humans have forgot that they are not the one who created this world and they have absolutely no right over anyone's life including animals as well. The universe has given life to humans as well as animals and it’s the universe only who can take it back. Animal killing in the name of religion is not just a ritual but has become a fashion as well.
Difference between ritual slaughter and animal sacrifice :
Ritual slaughter ,of course we all are very familiar with that term, is a practice of slaughtering livestock ,with a mandatory method, for meat and that too in the name of a ritual. Sickening!
Whereas animal sacrifice means killing animal as a part of ritual just to appease the diety.
Well if we talk about ritual slaughter ,according to many studies and religious believes as well it has been found that ritual slaughter is basically done for raising the food production in which there are different types of slaughtering but few methods are practiced in which they try to give the minimum possible pain to livestock.
The farm animal welfare council has asked to avoid cruelty on livestock that causes painful sufferings to animals. In ritual slaughter there is mostly rendering unconsciousness to the animal before any kind of cutting to minimize the pain. Well, that’s a different case. I mean, the world is just this way, we all follow the rule survival for the fittest and for someone to live ,someone has to leave.
And if turn the light towards animal killing in the name of religion which they name it as sacrifice, duhhh…this has been in practice since ages and not just in our country but in various continents but it is really acceptable? What I'm trying to convey is who are the humans ,what …what kind of authority are they given to just brutally kill animals. Have we forgotten that these animals are a part of the vast food chain and ecosystem and its there existence, that is the reason of our existence as well.
Few months back i got to know about dog killing festival , and i was so shocked. I am a dog person and the first thing that came to my mind is are we like really serious, I don’t know how to express but dogs, seriously?
The animal which is much better than human in terms of humanity at least. these people bring them locked up in cages in large numbers and actually pretty much enjoy when they are killed.
Then ,of course hindu -muslim things where in bakreed ,goats and lambs ,even cows are killed brutally and in hindu temples ,buffaloes and pigeons are killed just in the name of sacrifice. Maybe we forgot ,worship places were made for prayers and not killings. Plus, when cows are killed ,it leads
to religional riots because cows are considered as mothers in hinduism.
What baffles me the most is how can u kill animals ,animals specially like cows and buffaloes who give us milk. A country like india is developing in all terms,it has become a trend to accept new things, to protest against the wrongs to move towards a better life ,but when it comes to bringing about changes in religious believes ,seems like we are going to the 18th and 19th century gradually. How strange to learn that no? If you are really that religious ,we would be extremely happy to see you sacrificing your life(sarcasm though),after all GOD never asked for a blood bath. And you have no right on any animal's life that you kill it in the name of sacrifice, even if it belongs to you.
And obviously we should not forget the politics in this .some politicians put all efforts to bring up the religional riots and make a section of the society on their side. Well, just forget everything, this or that religion, these or those believes .just think of how humans are able to perform this horrible inhuman actions. We have forgotten something called 'live and let live'. I don’t understand why these people fail to feel the pain of animals .it just gives me an electric rush through the spine even when I think of the moment when they are killed. Why don’t people understand that they are living souls as well and what if they cannot express, but they do have a heart, they do feel the emotional and physical pain. I request everyone who reads this article to spread awareness among the society that to live peacefully ,we really need to put efforts to bring that peace. The world is for all and we all are responsible for any kind of misbehavior with the nature.
