Do Ghatak Forces come under 'Special Forces' like the Para SF?
No, Ghatak Forces are not special forces. They are just better trained and more physically fit infantry soldiers. Unlike the special forces of India like Para SF, MARCOS etc, Ghataks do not go undergo a rigorous probation period and neither they are trained in SF specific tasks like sabotage, foreign internal defense, counter terrorism, long range reconnaissance patrols, HALO/HAHO skydiving, demolitions, signal courses etc. which are conducted only for special forces.Also, unlike other special forces, Ghataks do not have their own battalion.
