DNA Database for India is an Ambitious project for a nation worth 1.3b population ,DNA databank is a database of DNA profiles which can be used in the analysis of genetic diseases, genetic fingerprinting for criminology, or genetic genealogy.
•The DNA Based Technology Bill, was first formed in 2015.
•AP govt had done a partnership to build the database with the German genomics and precision medicine company Shivom with the help of BlockChain Technology
DNA Technology (Use and Application) Regulation Bill, 2018
